How do I place an order?

It's quite simple! All you have to do is add the products want to the cart and then check out.

We offer free delivery once you meet the minimum amount (varies by your region). If for some reason, you are unable to check out then you can just e-mail us at sayhi@buybuysashimi.com and we will be happy to assist you. We are able to ship all over in the U.S., but shipping rates will be different between states.

What is Route and Green Package Protection?

Route's Green Package Protection is a package protection solution that helps cover your order in the event that your order gets lost, stolen, or damaged while in transit while also protecting the planet. We know how frustrating it is to have something happen to your order, so we’ve partnered with Route to offer added assurance that you’re supported, no matter what. Green Package Protection can be added during checkout. 

Every time you add Green Package Protection to your order, Route donates to support an agroforestry initiative that removes CO2 from the air and promotes a flourishing ecosystem. You can also utilize the Route App to visually track all of your online orders in one place and easily file a claim with their team. Whether you’re tracking via the Route App or online Route’s real-time shipping updates keep you in the loop throughout every part of your delivery. 

Please note if you do not purchase ROUTE insurance during checkout, we're not responsible for any damages, loss or stolen packages.   Route only applies to orders using FEDEX or UPS (with a tracking number with Fedex or UPS).

 

 What is the cut-off time for same week deliveries?

You will need to make your orders by Wednesdays (8:00PM EST) in order to receive same week delivery. If you happen to make your order after the cutt-off time and need same week delivery, please reach out to us at Sayhi@buybuysashimi.com and we will do our best to accommodate your request. (However, not always guaranteed)

 

 What is the shelf-life for the products?

Uni (sea urchin) is a very sensitive item. We strongly recommend to consume your Uni right away or within 4 days of receiving them. As a general rule of thumb - always eat as fresh as possible. Most of our other products will maintain its freshness if left in a freezer for a few weeks.

 Where do you ship to?

We are able to ship to all 50 states in the U.S. (including Hawaii & Alaska). Additionally, we offer local delivery within NY, NJ, and CT.

Can I eat the fish as sashimi? 

Absolutely! All of our products are sashimi grading.

 

 Do you offer wholesale?

Yes, we do! We do wholesale for restaurants, distributors, and welcome partnerships as well! Please feel free to reach out to sayhi@buybuysashimi.com to inquire more about this.

 

 How Does Route Process Refunds Or Reorders? 

Refunds: When refunding an item, Route covers the subtotal, shipping, and taxes. In both cases, the Route Premium cost will not be refunded. 

Reorders: Route will reorder the items, depending on in-stock availability. Unavailable items will be refunded. Route will cover the cost of any reorders including shipping, taxes, and Route Shipping Protection.

 

My order was missing item(s). What can you do?

There may be times where certain products are out of stock due to seasonal availability. In these cases, a refund should already be issued to you for the item(s) not included in your order or the item(s) may be replaced with another similar product. 

On rare occasions, there may be incorrectly packed orders or item(s) missing due to human error. If this is the case for you, please reach out to us at sayhi@buybuysashimi.com and let us make it right for you!

 

I want to cancel my order. Will I get a refund?

Once you complete your purchase transaction, please keep in mind that all sales are final. We will not be able to issue a refund. However, we can issue store credit that you can apply to any purchases you make in the future.

 

FAQ about ROUTE

When Should I File a Claim?

Marked As Delivered (Stolen) 

Claims will be reviewed no earlier than 5 calendar days and no later than 15 calendar days from when it was marked delivered. 

Please note, some order issues may require a police report to be filed. 

Stuck In Transit (Lost) 

Claims will be reviewed no earlier than 2 calendar days and no later than 30 calendar days from the last update. The maximum filing time is 365 days from the order date. Damaged 

Claims for damaged items require photos of the packaging and item(s) and must be filed no later than 15 calendar days from when it was marked delivered.

 

What If My Order Never Arrives or is Stolen? 

Route definitely helps cover these instances! To protect your order against loss or theft, add Green Package Protection at checkout. 

If your order has not arrived, please file a claim with Route directly

 

 What If My Order Arrives Damaged? 

Route covers damage as well! To protect your order against damage that occurred during shipping, add Route Protect at checkout. 

If your order has arrived to you damaged, please take photos of the item and the packaging it arrived in to include in your claim when filing.  

If your order has defects or you suspect it was damaged during manufacturing, please reach out to Route and they will be happy to work with you to remedy the situation.

 

 Is Route a licensed Insurance Company? 

Yes, Route is a licensed insurance company with SEG Insurance Ltd. as its partner.
